Emergency Care Treasure Coast

Emergency Care Treasure Coast

Even the healthiest individuals may eventually face a medical emergency, which will require the prompt, specialized care of the ER. The team in the Emergency Room works hard to ensure that every patient gets the attention he or she needs exactly when it is needed. At Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, we take every possible step to minimize wait times in our emergency care and offer the unique services for special groups like kids and trauma patients, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies for triage, patient registration, and treatment.

Specialized Emergency Services

In addition to standard emergency care for everyday injuries, illnesses, and accidents, we offer several services unique to our Treasure Coast facilities so that every patient gets the right level of care. Here is a look at our specialized emergency services that help to set our ER apart from others in the region.

  • Pediatric ER – For kids, the ER can be a scary place, but a trip to the emergency room may be unavoidable when accidents happen or illnesses arise outside of your pediatrician’s normal office hours. At Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, we have a dedicated Pediatric ER that is the only one of its kind in the region. With a separate waiting room and treatment area, young patients will have kid-friendly care throughout their visits.
  • Trauma Center – Lawnwood Regional Medical Center is home to the Treasure Coast Trauma Center, which is a level II center featuring a special multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and staff available 24/7 for the care of acute traumatic injuries. Even the most severely injured patients may find care in our Trauma Center, which is known throughout the region as a leader in this unique type of care.
  • Primary Stroke Center – Our ER has been recognized as a Primary Stroke Center thanks to the availability of innovative, evidence-based stroke treatment practices. At the first signs of a stroke, members of the Treasure Coast community can trust us to provide lifesaving treatment in addition to rehabilitative care.

Knowing When to Go to the ER

While the decision to go to the ER is clear in the face of serious injuries and life-threatening illnesses, you may not always know where to turn for care in non-emergent but still urgent conditions. With our Consult-A-Nurse healthcare referral line, you can speak to one of our registered nurses 24/7 so that you are aware of all of the available options for your treatment. You can reach us anytime at (772) 461-4000 to ensure that you never miss out on the care you need.
